Sara Pekmez joined the Fair Work Lawyers team in 2019.

Sara is an integral part of Fair Work Lawyers’ team, providing advice and representation across a wide range of matters in both the employment and building and construction sphere, ranging from workplace relations to workers compensation, general advisory, commercial transactions and litigation, and construction disputes. In each of these areas, Sara has a proven record of achieving positive results for clients, achieving sound outcomes for clients in a cost-effective manner, and all while providing exceptional service.

While skilled across a range of practice areas, Sara has a particular fondness for contracts and documents – both drafting and interpreting. With a keen eye for detail, and thoroughness and diligence rarely seen, Sara has become the ‘go to’ for many clients trying to make sense of the lengthy, and often absurd, commercial and construction contracts that now permeate the market.

Sara is able to digest, identify risks and draft solutions in even the most complex contracts, with a fast turnaround, and for a fraction of the cost of many other commercial offerings. This skill set is also brought to bear in drafting simple but effective plain-English contracts and other documents that manage risks in a sensible but efficient manner.

Sara graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2019.
